Clock grease: Clock 859-8 + PTFE - A fully synthetic clock grease |
|
In collaboration with a very famous Swiss clock company, we developed a new clock grease that is tailored to eliminate problems with spring and spring box lubrication. Due to the difficult lubrication conditions and high surface pressure, stick-slipping frequently occurs and springs frequently jump which decreases gear precision. Based on our proven Clock 859 clock oil that has been successfully used by every clock company within Europe for two decades, we developed a new grease with outstanding sliding friction. Previously inconceivable low levels of static friction are achieved by using a very high percentage of micronized PTFE (Teflon).
The clock grease, Clock 859-8+PTFE, is fully-synthetic and has very low static friction while minimizing wear.

Uses: For metal friction bearings in clockworks, counters, alarm clocks, worm gears, measuring devices, precision gears, springs, plotters, and printers. For brass/steel alloys with a diameter of 0.1 to 10 mm. For spring boxes, latches, guides, etc.

Note: The clock grease Clock 859-8 + PTFE was developed especially for metal precision friction bearings. It contains a synthetic base oil with a high level of pressure resistance and excellent resistance to aging. A special combination of thickeners consisting of metal soap, antiseparating gel and micronized PTFE particles ensure a high level of adhesive strength, optimized bleeding and separation behavior, and a reduced tendency to stick-slip. Very low friction coefficient. Clock 859-8 + PTFE clock grease is silicone-free! When using on plastics, check the resistance of the plastics or contact us for test results.
